Peacefully set in a four acre park, right in the midst of Saumur, Verrières allows you to discover the charm and History of the Loire Valley and the many chateaux. Known as the « Pearl of Anjou », Saumur and the banks of the river Loire have been akcknowledged part of World Heritage by UNESCO. Come and enjoy the charm, the serenity, the elegance of this equestrian city - and its wines of course! Verrieres has nevertheless kept its private mansion atmosphere, with its authentic decoration and its period furniture. You will be welcomed by the readily available owners, devoted to making your stay most enjoyable. Free Wifi in all rooms. A computer is at your disposal day and night. Within a short walk, you will discover the pedestrian streets in old Saumur, historical houses built in tuffeau stone, and the lively activity of its traditional Saturday morning market. Welcomed as friends, you will enjoy a cup of tea by a crackling log fire or sample a glass of local sparkling wine in the shadow of the garden´s lime trees. Designed in Napoleon III´s days, Verrières with its sculpted wood panelling, its paited ceilings, its fabric covered walls, has retained its original elegance: it does give a truly genuine experience in the « Belle Epoque » charm of living.

With its ten bedrooms, Verrières remains a family sized chateau. Every room is tastefully furnished and offers guests a calm and restful stay. You will be surprised by the height of the ceilings. The walls are fabric lined in material of the best quality and design. The large windows allow light to flood into the bathrooms. The original ceramic tiles were commissioned for the chateau and are now reproduced by the manufacturer. The antic washbasins, the large cast iron baths on lion claw feet, luxurious bath towels will transport you into the sumptuous era of XIXth century elegance. Every room is equipped with television, telephone, hair dryer, minibar, welcome tray and a kettle for tea and coffee. Most rooms have king size beds (180 x 200) but twin beds can be provided on request. As well as baths, the 8 largest rooms have a separate shower and double washbasins. All rooms are no-smoking.

Little Green Room
Our most intimate room (17m²), overlooking the Cavalry School. Bathroom and a double bed (160 x 200)

Room Eugénie
Fabric lined walls, large double bed. Room Eugénie (23m²) overlooks the Calvary School. Discover its charming bathroom and the walls covered with Rairies Montrieux handmade faience (www.rairies.com), a tradition that goes back to the early years of the Chateaux of the Loire Valley. This very bright bathroom‘s window offers a nice view of the town and the Château of Saumur.

Romantic room
Large charming bedrooms (40 and 42m²) with fabric lined walls, overlooking the park of the Cavalry School. Double king size beds. Pretty bathrooms with bath and separate shower, twin washbasins. Feel free to request 1 or 2 extra beds.

Suites

Junior Prestige
The castle bedrooms we all dream of! Large and spacious (43-45m²), they overlook our « à l‘anglaise » park or the Cavalry School « Le Cadre Noir ». Double or twin king size beds. Bathrooms with bath and shower, twin washbasins, fabric lined walls or covered with traditional faience according to the Chateaux of the Loire Valley style, fashioned by the Rairies Montrieux. Feel free to request 1 or 2 extra beds.

Suite Soleil Levant
A 53 m² suite for two people with a king size bed. From the living-room, you will enjoy a breathtaking view of Saumur and its château - castle hotel, illuminated by the first rays of sunlight. Japanese style setting A large bathroom enlightened by the morning sun, with bath and italian shower. An exotic experience for a relaxing time...

Before going out for dinner, you are welcome to order an aperitif to be served in the Drawing Room or on the Terrasse in Summer.

For your wellness, a relaxation chair (the top of the technology !) is available on the Rez de Jardin, in the Roman Room. A session of body care can also be organized on appointment with sufficient notice, according to the aesthetician´s availability.

Events and meetings
The Great Dining Room can be privatized to welcome your work meetings or family dinners, to enjoy a special time with your colleagues or loved ones.

Professionals Guests
Opening on the park, the Great Dining Rooms allows the organization of work meetings and seminars in a unique setting, for 30 to 40 people. A dining buffet can be set up in the ground floor living-rooms next to it, or outside on the south terrace in fine weather. As you enjoy a few days relaxing in our lovely region, take the opportunity to offer a special time to your family or friends! Our hotel can be privatized for your choice of events: reception, family dinners, romantic dinners...
